Pila is a wall mounted step/path light that uses layers of stacked acrylic to direct light down onto the floor. Inspired by the basic triangle, I created a depth defying aesthetic, while also conserving space behind the wall. I was able to minimize the amount of parts in the assembly by using a combination of standard hardware along with machined aluminum components. This allows for ease of assembly in the factory, as well as simple installation on the job site.
